The CSU/UC Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP) provides materials and services to support student readiness and success in secondary and college mathematics courses. All materials and services are provided at no charge.
Teachers use MDTP diagnostic tests to adapt their instruction to meet the needs of their students and improve their courses. Schools use MDTP materials to guide collaborative departmental discussions and initiatives, to develop effective intervention and enrichment programs, and to support placement and policy decisions.
MDTP materials include multiple choice diagnostic readiness tests and written response items for courses from Math 6 through Calculus, as well as online high school placement tests.
