The CSU/UC Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP) provides materials and services to support student readiness and success in secondary and college mathematics courses. All materials and services are provided at no charge.
Teachers use MDTP diagnostics to adapt their instruction to meet the needs of their students and improve their courses. Schools use MDTP results to guide collaborative departmental discussions and initiatives, to develop effective intervention and enrichment programs, and to support placement and policy decisions.
MDTP materials include online and paper multiple choice diagnostic tests, written response items, and online high school placement tests.
Notice Due to School Closures: During the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, MDTP will support educators remotely during distance learning and hybrid models by offering online testing on the MDTP Diagnostic (Readiness) testing platform. This platform includes the following assessments:
Assessments of Preparedness Tests for Grades Six, Seven, and Eight
Readiness Tests for courses in Algebra 1/Integrated Math 1 through Calculus.
Please see the Remote Testing Policy and Use Agreement.
Paper test materials will not be sent or scored.
