A Message from Mary Sirody

After twelve lovely years, I am leaving my position as MDTP Director at UCLA.  It has been a pleasure working with the wonderful math educators in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.  Moving student thinking front-and-center to planning and implementation of math instruction can have a powerful positive effect on math teaching and is one of the most effective ways to improve math learning.  I encourage you to use the superb MDTP diagnostic tools to support you in this endeavor.

At the MDTP UCLA site, Nora Perez will not only continue the exceptional support she has provided, but will also expand her work to more fully facilitate the use of MDTP tools.  Please feel free to contact her at mdtp@ucla.edu.

MDTP is a statewide collaboration of the CSU and UC systems and the California Academic Partnership Program intended to support and advance secondary math instruction. MDTP develops, distributes, scores, and reports the results of multiple choice tests that measure student readiness for mathematics courses ranging from Math 6 to Calculus. MDTP at UCLA offers full support for MDTP materials and services at no charge to secondary schools in LA and Ventura Counties.
